It's not me, it's you

If we're going to make progress towards standards and usability, we have to change our thinking just a little bit. If my browser isn't supported by a particular website, that website is broken, not my browser. If I can't figure out how to use a particular piece of software, then that software is broken, not me.

As long as someone big is out there saying "Screw standards, I'm doing my own thing" then we get problems. As long as we assume software users are incompetent when they need something explained, we'll never fix anything.
