Tim informs me that Call of Duty 5, after the "official" missions are over, finishes with a zombie stage. Wave after wave of nazi zombies attack the barricaded house where you are holed up and your job is to fight them off.

PS - That's usually the deal with zombies.
PPS - Unless you're a scientist, who usually aim for cures or started the whole thing in the first place.

You rarely see effective or sufficient defenses against prolonged zombie assault.
A bunker is probably near the top of that list, though.
True, because it's a siege and the guys on the outside are ... I won't say "better resourced", but they have more of what they need to get in than you have to keep them out.
